UHRIG Civil Engineering: WEIRS
Cascade and relief weirs
Optimize your sewer network management with UHRIG cascade weirs and spillway weirs. Relieving, flushing and regulating are the tasks of our weirs, which are part of the indispensable infrastructure of modern wastewater systems.

Cascade weirs
Cascade weirs are highly variable systems for throttling the flow. They are installed in the main head of the sewer and allow the storage volume of a sewer to be optimally utilized. By lifting the weir, the wastewater is backed up in the sewer so that the volume available in the sewer can be used to store rainwater.
Targeted damming makes it possible to remove deposits in the sewer with regular flushing, even in dry weather. Cascade weirs prevent major damage and thus minimize any renovation costs. This saves resources in sewer network management.
Refief weirs
Relief weirs are used for flood protection and improve the management of canals. They are used, for example, during heavy rainfall with volumes of water that can no longer be contained by the sewer. They then release water directly into the receiving watercourse to prevent the sewer system from overflowing.
Relief weirs can ensure full utilization of the sewer volume. The water level in the network remains the same regardless of the amount of water discharged. They offer greater hydraulic safety in the event of heavy rainfall.
Our experience
For over 60 years, we have specialized in civil engineering in urban areas and under difficult conditions. During this time, we have not only implemented hundreds of construction projects, but have also developed technologies and processes that set us apart from the competition.
