UHRIG Civil Engineering: Lowering-in method
Civil engineering from above
The lowering-in method is revolutionizing civil engineering because it saves time and money. At UHRIG, we specialize in this particular method and have already successfully implemented numerous construction projects using this method. The aim is to preserve time and resources.

First build, then lower in
The usual procedure for civil engineering is different: traditionally, the excavation pit is first dug, reinforced and prepared for use. Only then is the planned structure concreted on site in the pit.
The lowering-in method works the other way round. First, the structure is completed above ground and then lowered into a precisely fitting pit. The actual lowering is quick. This means there are no costs for long-term excavation pit installation.
Advantages of the lowering-in method
When lowering a structure, we save time, space and money. This is because the construction site area is significantly smaller with this method and the implementation is minimally invasive and highly efficient. There is no need for large-scale excavation, shoring and securing of the excavation pit. This method has proven its worth many times over, particularly in confined and difficult-to-access spaces.
Lowering-in is specialized engineering
Of course, not every construction project can be realized in this way: However, we check the feasibility of every project in advance and then make appropriate proposals to weigh up the advantages and disadvantages of the various methods.
The lowering-in method is exemplary of our claim to develop tailor-made solutions for every project. The aim is to protect the environment and conserve resources in every single project.
Our experience
For over 60 years, we have specialized in civil engineering in urban areas and under difficult conditions. During this time, we have not only implemented hundreds of construction projects, but have also developed technologies and processes that set us apart from the competition.
